Job Description

The Automotive Warranty Business Development Manager develops and implements strategic sales and marketing objectives focused on developing auto warranty products. Directly works with a focus on customer and strategic partner team building. Active “hands on” business developer and true strategic partner. This position reports to the Vice President of Warranty Sales.

  • Develop new client leads
  • Participate in the management of existing relationships within the automotive channel to ensure consistent year over year vertical growth 
  • Responsible for identification of opportunities
  • Uses experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
  • Oversee transition of new accounts to account management
  • Oversee pilot program of new and existing products
  • Development of documentation of new product offerings
  • Screens potential business deals/sales by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Track all potential business deals/sales in CRM system, analyze monthly progress and suggest new strategies


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of sales within the financial services industry.
  • Positions tied directly to the generation of revenue for the organization. 
  • Requires self-starter
  • Requires desire for control over remuneration through commission income
  • Possess market analysis and research capabilities that the process of identifying new potential business opportunities is efficient and well thought out
  • Possess knowledge of competitive landscape, communicating market needs and trends and developing new products
  • Requires strong motivational skills and experience in dealing with senior levels of management
  • High energy and passion for solving the needs of client partners
  • Process outstanding strategic management, commercial and reporting skills
