The ideal candidate is responsible for the routine upkeep and repairs of our self storage facilities within a specific geographic district. If you have experience in commercial or industrial building maintenance and possess skills in one of the following trades: painting, electrical, cement and tile masonry, or drywall; then this job might be a great fit for you! Here is an overview of the job responsibilities:

• Perform minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment
• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
• Clean vacated spaces, hallways and the exterior of the property as needed
• Keep the premises neat and clean, the grounds free of debris and landscaped area free of weeds
• Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings, such as repairing plaster and drywall, painting building structures, etc.
• Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts and order supplies as needed
• Available to work weekends when needed

Successful candidates come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including commercial or industrial building maintenance, commercial interior construction, or other facility maintenance services. Regardless of your background, we are looking for talented people with the following characteristics: 

• Good skill in the use of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

IMPORTANT: Please note that the Handyperson / Groundskeeper / Custodian will be required to drive their personal vehicle on behalf of the business, and will be personally responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is properly insured.
