Job Description

The Lead Storage Specialist is a critical front line leadership position at Storage Post and reports to the District Manager. The Lead Storage Specialist supervises the team at a specific Storage Post location and is responsible for efficiently managing and maintaining the property. If you enjoy leading and developing teams, delivering exceptional customer service, and thrive in a fast paced environment, then this job might be a great fit for you! Here is an overview of the job responsibilities:

  • Maximize occupancy and revenues of your location by renting all available space to customers
  • Build, lead and develop your team of Storage Specialists
  • Market your location to local businesses, community groups and residents via participation in the local Chamber of Commerce, networking groups, civic organizations, as well as direct mail marketing and business solicitations
  • Ensure the appearance of your location is maintained to company standards
  • Collect rent and fees, while minimizing delinquencies
  • Provide a safe environment for customers and your team, and ensure adherence to all company policies

We are actively recruiting for a Lead Storage Specialist for our 32 Grand Avenue location in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

Successful Lead Storage Specialists come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including restaurants, retail, customer service, and sales. However, individuals with military, police, firefighter or other first responder experience have also proven to be a great fit for this role. Regardless of your background, we are looking for talented people with the following characteristics: 

  • Prior property management, customer service, sales and collection experience
  • Customer focused and service oriented personality
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working with computers in a Windows environment, using Microsoft Office, and learning new applications comes naturally
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
