Job Description

As a key member of the Forefront Healthcare team, you will play a dual role in providing exceptional food service and delivery for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health. This hybrid position combines responsibilities as a Driver and Server, ensuring meals, snacks, and floor stock are delivered and served with professionalism, care, and adherence to food safety standards. You will serve as a liaison between the food service department and patient units, delivering meals and snacks, stocking units, and setting up service areas to meet the dietary needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Delivery:

  • Safely transport patient meal carts and snacks to designated units on time.
  • Follow hospital policies and best practices for safety while driving and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Communicate effectively to address any issues with deliveries or schedules.

Food Service:

  • Assist in setting up service areas and patient trays for meal service while adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Serve meals, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of service areas and equipment.

General Responsibilities:

  • Stock patient units with meals, snacks, and supplies.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and storage protocols in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, staff, and team members.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned, including cross-functional kitchen duties.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1 year of food service or delivery experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

  • Desire to serve patients with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying environments, including kitchen and delivery settings.

Compensation:
Hourly Wage: $17.00 - $18.50, based on experience.
