Job Description

As ForTec continues to grow, we are seeking an Application Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining front-end applications. A successful candidate will design, and develop high-quality customer enterprise applications, adhering to agile methodology, and perform code reviews.  The Application Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality application solutions that meet business requirements.

Additional job responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Design and develop front-end components of web applications
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of applications
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues as needed
  • Work closely and collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements, deliver solutions, ensure a clear understanding of the code architecture, and backlog priorities
  • Actively participate in Agine ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to guide the development process
  • Work with the sprint coordinator to ensure that sprints are aligned with the sprint goals and that technical blockers are removed
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or bootcamp training, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in front-end development preferred
  • Strong proficiency in:  Angular (v16+ preferred) and TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design frameworks, JSON, and RESTful API consumption
  • Solid understanding of front-end design principles, UX best practices, reusable/shared component patterns, model-view-viewmodel (MVVM) design patterns, and state management (NgRx or equivalent)
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar version control tools
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, modular design patterns, and test-driven development is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative team environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.  Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills, excellent communicator within face-to-face, phone, email, and MS Teams
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
