Job Description
ForTec is seeking a Senior Software Developer to work out of our Home Office in Hudson, Ohio, two to three times per week and additionally as needed.
The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications. This role involves designing and developing high-quality custom enterprise applications, adhering to agile methodology, performing code reviews, executing CI/CD pipelines, and managing software deployments. The Senior Software Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
- Design and develop front-end and back-end components of web applications.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of applications.
- Collaborates with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
- Works closely with the development team to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Collaborates with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of the code architecture and backlog priorities.
- Actively participates in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to guide the development process.
- Works with the sprint coordinator to ensure that sprints are aligned with the sprint goals and that technical blockers are removed.
- Implements and maintains reliable and efficient CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Plan and execute software deployments to various environments (development, staging, production).
- Conducts thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Provides constructive feedback to team members and mentor junior developers.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in full stack development
- Strong proficiency in .NET framework and C# programming
- Extensive experience with Angular and TypeScript for front-end development
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Solid understanding of SQL and database design
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure is a plus
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies or Azure DevOps is a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills
