Job Description

The Opportunity

Flywire is seeking a Senior Product Manager - SFS UK to help shape the future of student billing and payments for higher education institutions across the United Kingdom. This role sits at the intersection of payments, education technology, enterprise software and user experience, delivering impactful solutions for both universities and students at scale.

You will join the team responsible for the strategic direction of Flywire’s flagship Student Financial Software (SFS) platform. SFS is Flywire’s all-in-one student account portal, deeply integrated with higher education student information systems and designed to simplify the financial experience for institutions and payers alike.

At Flywire, Product Managers like to win. We are builders, problem solvers and market leaders focused on delivering products that create meaningful impact for customers and measurable outcomes for the business. You will own the Education Billing & Payments domain for the UK region, leading product strategy and execution for a critical part of the SFS platform.

This role offers significant ownership and visibility, combining regional autonomy with close collaboration across Flywire’s global Product and Engineering organisation.

What does this look like? You will:

  • Own the regional product strategy and roadmap for Education Billing & Payments in the UK, aligning customer needs, commercial priorities and technical investment decisions
  • Lead product discovery efforts by partnering directly with higher education institutions and regional stakeholders to uncover root problems and identify scalable opportunities
  • Drive roadmap execution in partnership with Engineering, proactively managing risks, dependencies, trade-offs and delivery priorities
  • Translate complex customer and business challenges into clear product strategies, requirements and high-impact solutions
  • Define success metrics and monitor key product KPIs to continuously improve customer experience, adoption and operational outcomes
  • Serve as the in-region SFS subject matter expert, confidently representing the product with customers, partners and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, Enablement and Technical Writing teams to deliver high-quality product experiences
  • Support strategic customer conversations, product demonstrations and late-stage sales engagements as a trusted product voice
  • Influence prioritisation and decision making across Product, Engineering and Commercial teams through strong product judgement and stakeholder leadership
  • Embrace AI-enabled workflows and tools to accelerate product discovery, analysis, documentation and execution efficiency
  • Contribute to the broader global SFS product strategy while advocating for regional customer and market needs

Qualifications

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience within higher education student finance, including 5+ years in Product Management, technology, enterprise software or related roles
  • Experience working with student and/or financial systems such as Tribal, Unit4, Oracle Fusion/PeopleSoft or Ellucian Banner, with a strong understanding of higher education operational workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to identify high impact problems, evaluate opportunities and drive solutions from concept through execution, including stepping beyond defined responsibilities when needed to ensure successful outcomes
  • Strong commercial and customer mindset with the ability to balance user experience, operational efficiency and business value
  • Capable of leveraging AI tools to improve execution speed, analysis, product discovery and documentation workflows
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast paced environment while collaborating across global teams and time zones when required
  • Deep curiosity and passion for solving complex challenges within the education market
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership mentality and bias toward action
