Florida Welding West Indies Steel was established in the Virgin Islands in 1989. We are a licensed general contractor and insured.  The company specializes in structural steel fabrication and erection. We supply a quantity of cranes, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telescoping, and forklifts to rent or use to perform our tasks. We employ certified welders and certified equipment operators.

*Looking for a crane operator for a 3 WEEK project*
Job is based in St. Thomas, USVI with possibility of some travel and work in St. Croix, USVI. The Certified Crane Operator operates lifting equipment and material requiring specialized trade certification. 

Duties:

• Operate a crane to lift and move objects
• Inspect crane equipment and carry out some maintenance
• Ensure that all loads are within approved limits
• Follow directions from colleagues on the ground for lowering and placing loads in the correct location

• 1+ - years related field experience 
• Able to demonstrate field/shop competency 
• Mechanical ability necessary to perform tasks 
• Valid driver's license
• CCO Certified 
• Good oral and written communication skills 
• Self-motivated, self starter
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Able to work closely with fellow employees
