As our Mid-Senior Social Media Manager, you'll be the driving force behind ours and our clients' social media success. You’ll develop and execute killer social media strategies, create engaging content, and build strong online communities. With your finger on the pulse of social media trends, you'll ensure our clients shine in the digital spotlight.

Working arrangement: 👨‍💻 Hybrid - 3 days in the office per week
Salary: R25,000 to R40,000 pm (dependent on experience)

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Craft and implement innovative social media strategies tailored to each client’s unique goals and target audience.
    • Develop content calendars that align with clients' brand voices and marketing objectives.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with clients, account managers, inbound marketers and creative teams to ensure cohesive and effective social media campaigns.
    • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and integrated marketing campaigns.
    • Support account managers in the execution of social media strategies, including attending client meetings, presenting campaign ideas, and providing regular updates on performance and progress.
  • Influencer Collaboration
    • Identify and establish relationships with key influencers and brand advocates.
    • Coordinate influencer partnerships and campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
    • Monitor influencer activity and measure the impact of collaborations on brand awareness and engagement.
  • Crisis Management and Escalations:
    • Monitor social media channels for potential issues or crises.
    • Develop and implement crisis management plans to address and mitigate negative situations.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to escalations, coordinating with internal teams and clients as necessary.
  • Team Management:
    • Mentor and support junior members of the social media team, providing guidance and feedback.
    • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that team members are engaged and productive.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages learning and growth.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track and analyse social media performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
    • Identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement to optimise social media strategies.
  • Content Creation and Management:
    • Create and curate engaging, high-quality content for various social media platforms.
    • Schedule and publish posts, ensuring optimal timing and frequency for maximum engagement.
  • Community Management:
    • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all client social media accounts.
    • Foster a positive and active online community, engaging with followers and building relationships.
  • Stay Updated on Trends:
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
    • Experiment with new features and platforms to keep clients ahead of the curve.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Industry related certifications, degree or diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry related experience within an agency space
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire team members

  • Able to adapt and change the approach and style depending on the client or brand

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Semrush, Sendible, Buffer etc).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Experience with social media advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics etc).
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating visual content.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and scheduling tools.
  • Good knowledge of content marketing, email, PPC, SEO, Social Media and how they fit together
  • Experience with various Marketing Research tools
  • Understand regulatory requirements that impact content creation and communications on social media platforms.
