As the Head of People, Netherlands (m/f/d) you will lead the country's human resources strategy and operations for the 9000 people in the hubs & 90 people at our Dutch HQ. As a key member of the local leadership team, you will be responsible for driving initiatives that support business objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with local labor laws. With a focus on our operational business across our 60+ hubs you will oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, people operations, employee engagement, comp&ben, organizational development, and strategic workforce planning.
Job Description
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute People strategies aligned with business goals
- Work closely with the Country Operations leadership team to build an organisation that delivers efficient and reliable service in the hubs
- Act as a trusted advisor to the management team, providing guidance on HR-related matters
- Monitor HR metrics and analytics to assess effectiveness and drive improvements.
Talent Management - with a main focus on our hubs:
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, retention strategies & succession planning to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and implement talent development programs, including training, leadership development, and succession planning
- Foster a culture of trust, safety and inclusion
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Manage employee relations and mediate disputes, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.
- Work with the employers organisation on CLA matters, such as renewal of T&C’s
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in legislation and best practices.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily people operations, including payroll
- Monitor and oversee illness absence, and implement prevention initiatives
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness.
Employee Engagement and Culture
- Based on insights from data; design and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance employee experience.
- Champion the right environment for people to deliver great results through our company values and ensure they are embedded across the business
Qualifications
- You have 6 to 8 years of experience with HR ore related field
- A data driven mindset, with the ability to identify people trends and drive initiatives.
- Experience in an operational business and in a start-up/scale-up environment will be crucial
- Bring expertise in Human Resources and solid knowledge in employment law
- Strong communication skills both fluently in English and Dutch
- Your experience in an operational business and in a start-up/scale-up environment is a pre
- You know how to manage large programs/projects, and thrive in an operational environment
