In your role as an Android Engineer (m/f/d)  you will be key in developing our native Android applications with the help of your cross-functional team. Get ready to be immersed in the fast-paced environment of quick commerce, collaborating with various Flink stakeholders, and have a direct impact on our success. No legacy code on our well-structured, brand-new projects, and fast build times!

Job Description

  • Play a vital part in designing, developing, and maintaining Flink’s Android mobile applications;
  • Actively contribute to the discussion and planning of new features;
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to deliver high value to the end-user;
  • Contribute to maintaining organization, tests automation, and code quality;
  • Ensure the best possible application performance and reliability of the applications on a range of devices;
  • Contribute actively to the Android release process;
  • Foster the Flink culture promoting inclusivity, diversity, and creativity in all aspects of your day-to-day role.

Qualifications

  • You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in building Android applications, and a strong knowledge of Android app design principles, patterns, and best practices; 
  • A wizard/ess with Kotlin, MVVM architecture, DI(Dagger), and a passion for simple, well-structured, testable code;
  • Good knowledge of Coroutines - any hands-on experience is a bonus!
  • Hands-on experience with versioning tools (Git) and practical knowledge of REST APIs;
  • Eager to work with new technologies and share knowledge with the team;
  • Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab, CircleCI), Robolectric tests, Multi-Module, RoomDatabase, and JetPack Compose is a plus;
