In your role as a Senior Data & Operations Anlyst (m/f/d) you will be a central member of the Last Mile & Workforce Management team. This team has the responsibility for ensuring orders are delivered quickly and efficiently to our customers. To achieve this, the team covers many domains including ongoing hiring, engagement and support of thousands of Riders and Operations Associates, running and optimising our workforce planning, and deploying product and operational improvements to enhance our Last Mile efficiency.

As a Senior Data & Operations Analyst, you will leverage your analytical skill set to dive into our data to find insights and improvement opportunities and translate them into tangible initiatives that you will bring to life in collaboration with our teams across the Netherlands and Germany. This is a truly multi-faceted role that will combine analytical, operational and strategic skill sets in order to drive improvements across Flink.

You will report to the Head of Last Mile Operations & Workforce Management and work closely with members of this team, as well as cross-functionally with the Hub Operations team, the Country Operations team, global Operations and Product teams, and the People team.

Job Description

  • Leveraging data to find opportunities to improve our efficiency and operational cost structure, as well as building and deploying strategies and initiatives to execute against them;
  • Conducting quantitative analysis on operational topics to inform business decisions (e.g. looking into the mix of vehicle types that we should deploy across each of our hubs to best balance cost, efficiency and utilisation);
  • Collaborating with product teams to ideate, design and deploy new features;
  • Building dashboards and reporting to improve business decisions;
  • Working with Finance and Payroll teams to ensure accuracy of payments to our workforce;
  • Leading experiments and projects to ensure we are learning and getting 1% better every day;
  • Supporting initiatives to ensure our workforce and the shifts they work are fully compliant with Dutch laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in analytics, operations, management consulting, or a related field;
  • SQL proficiency required (Python is a plus but not essential);
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau);
  • Experience in building complex data models;
  • An analytical mindset, demonstrating precision and structure in your approach to problem-solving and be able to navigate through complex data scenarios;
  • Ability to translate recommendations into practical and actionable strategies that can be implemented, as well as the ability to get hands-on and support implementation yourself;
  • Proactive, communicatively strong, results-oriented, and a team player;
  • Proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
