In your role as Staff Engineer - QA (m/f/d), you will accompany committed QA Engineers in continuously improving the quality of our consumer-facing platforms and thus make a significant contribution to the successful delivery of the product.

Job Description

  • Mentor, motivate, recruit, onboard and coach QA Engineers.
  • Own the quality vision & set up the QA process for the Consumer Domain. 
  • Ensure that the overall development and release process follows high-quality standards in all teams.
  • Develop and evolve Quality Strategy for Consumer Domain while having positive impact to speed of our development and release process.
  • Lead the development and execution of automated testing solutions for backend, frontend, native Android and iOS applications.
  • Identify key quality metrics for Consumer Domain, visualize them and help engineering teams to make data-driven decisions to ensure the quality of the deliverables.
  • Align with a product and engineering stakeholders to coordinate quality engineering activities in the teams and improve our quality strategy & vision.
  • Lead technical cross-team quality commitments, their progress and roadmap to delivery.
  • Foster the culture of observability within Consumer Domain.
  • Identify, promote and support the adoption of innovative tooling and approaches to drive high-quality product and engineering practices.
  • With the support of Platform engineers tackle the challenges of environments provisioning and preparation production-like data.
  • Oversee the triage and issue resolution across all domains and subdomains.
  • Work alongside our Talent Acquisition team to deliver on QA hiring goals

Qualifications

  • You have 8+ years of experience as a QA Engineer for complex software products.
  • You have multiple years of experience managing QA team(s).
  • You have strong experience in testing the distributed architectures.
  • Experience in implementing tools, processes, internal instrumentation, methodologies, and resolving blockages.
  • You are proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Go, Java, Kotlin, Typescript, or JavaScript.
  • You have multiple years of experience automating tests to cover front-end, mobile and/or API functionalities with different tools & frameworks like Appium, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, Pact, RestAssured, got and Espresso.
  • You are comfortable with overseeing and taking care of the CI/CD process and use GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g Docker) and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with GCP and/or AWS as well as with IaC technologies like Terraform/AWS CDK/CloudFormation.
  • You bring a working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Datadog etc.
  • You bring strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • You have advanced knowledge and strong practical experience in at least one of functional and non-functional testing (e.g., regression, integration, performance, smoke, etc.).
  • Experience in product release cycles, quality, A/B testing, and user research.
  • You are fluent in English.
