As part of our rapidly growing product & design team, you will shape and optimise the user experience for how customers find and buy everyday essentials, and discover new local products.

Job Description

As a Senior Product Designer, you will work with a cross-functional team to design frictionless experiences for Flink customers. If you are comfortable facilitating user research studies and team workshops, plus have experience working with design systems, that’s even better! You’ll join a product design guild of passionate product design specialists who excel in their respective areas and enjoy continuous learning, autonomy, and the opportunity to impact the product in a meaningful way. You’ll collaborate with your cross-functional product development team throughout the design process, nurturing shared ownership and sharing stories from insight to impact.

Discovery phase

  • Facilitate cross-discipline brainstorms to identify assumptions and learning opportunities
  • Partner with UX Research and Data Analytics specialists to develop a deep understanding of your users’ behaviours, attitudes and challenges

Definition phase

  • Outline problems to be solved, partnering with product leaders to prioritise high-impact product opportunities and scope opportunity overviews with relevant insights.

Ideation phase

  • Facilitate solution ideation, guiding the team through the opportunity and insights
  • Turn ideas into testable solutions and interactive prototypes
  • Outline hypotheses and learning opportunities to guide user testing plans
  • Synthesise observations and user feedback and iterate

Solution phase

  • Design the end-to-end solution across platforms, including edge cases, errors and accessibility, using our design libraries to champion consistency and creativity
  • Share solution design with your cross-discipline team, exploring risks, dependencies, effort and welcome feedback

Delivery phase

  • Partner with product leaders to outline scope, roll-out plan, data experiments and tracking points inline with your solution hypotheses
  • Collaborate with engineers, data analysts and other product designer specialists to deliver creative, innovative and measurably successful solutions to market

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of experience working as a Product Designer 
  • You have a portfolio sharing your product design process with outcomes
  • You're a strong communicator and nurture collaborative relationships
  • You’re excited to own design solutions from discovery to impact
  • You love to tell stories to inspire valuable and impactful product changes
  • You have experience planning & participating in user research
  • You have experience facilitating collaborative sessions
