In your role as Senior Android Engineer (m/f/d) you will lead the development of our native Android applications and be fully immersed in the fast-paced environment of quick commerce, collaborating with various Flink stakeholders to have a direct impact on our success. No legacy code on our well-structured, brand new projects, and fast build times! 

• Drive new feature development and maintenance across Flink’s arsenal of mobile applications
• Collaborate closely with other teams to deliver high value to the end-user
• Evangelise the use of new technologies with the help of the Flink Android Chapter
• Mentor and guide Junior Flinkers to reach their potential
• Contribute to scaling up the Android team and bringing great talents onboard 
• Foster the Flink culture promoting inclusivity, diversity and creativity in all aspects of your day to day role

• You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in building high quality Android applications, and a strong knowledge of Android app design principles, patterns, and best practices  
• You are highly experienced with Kotlin, MVVM architecture, DI(Dagger) and Coroutines and are passionate about simple, well structured, testable code
• Confident leading on projects, knowledge sharing within the team and mentoring junior engineers
• An expert in optimising build times and utilising the full potential of Gradle Build System
• Hands on experience with versioning tools (Git) and practical knowledge of REST APIs 
• Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab, CircleCI), Robolectric tests, Multi-Module, RoomDatabase and Jetpack Compose
• Experience with backend languages, cloud platforms (e.g. GCP & AWS), and relational DBs is a plus
