Data Analyst Internship

  • Intern

Company Description

We founded Fixter to bring car maintenance into the 21st century. Because we believe booking an MOT in this day and age should be as simple as booking a taxi, or ordering a takeaway. Simple, streamlined and stress-free. And completely on demand.

Bringing together car industry specialists and state-of-the-art digital experts, Fixter provides a complete end-to-end service with world-class customer experience, designed to liberate car owners from the stress of booking a high street garage service.

Since our launch in Manchester 3 years ago, Fixter has expanded to 50+ cities across the UK, raised a £6m Series A, and is now trusted by thousands of car owners every month who never need to visit a garage ever again!

Job Description

Do you want to gain experience in a fast growing startup and help build a game-changing business? Fixter offers a unique opportunity for talented individuals with a truly entrepreneurial mindset.

We believe in creating the best experience for our users while being able to move fast and operate at scale. This role will have a significant impact in helping us identify how we can accelerate our growth and what we need to improve at a granular level.

You will have access to rich data and a front-row seat to learn how a company scales, solves problems and grows quickly.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the Data Analyst Intern at Fixter will be to perform analysis on all aspects of the business, create and maintain new dashboards and contribute to build our data pipeline.

This includes:

  • Analysing data for insights using Google Suite (Data Studio, Sheets, Optimize, Analytics) and various other data platforms (Python or R would be an added bonus)
  • Communicating these insights to business users so that they understand the impact and can create actions that address the findings
  • Writing SQL code for analysis and creating tables for end users that allows them to conduct analysis within Data Studio
  • Building dashboards for our product, marketing and operations teams, so they can see how they are performing on a daily basis.

Start date: December 2020

Qualifications

We understand that everyone has different experiences and skill sets and just because you might not fulfil all our requirements it doesn’t mean we won’t talk to you. The important thing is that you are:

  • An outstanding problem-solver with super strong analytical skills
  • Scarily ambitious and with an unreasonably high standard for what is good enough
  • Super entrepreneurial - you care about getting stuff done. And when obstacles inevitably get in the way, you know how to hustle
  • Super organized - able to project manage complex processes with multiple stakeholders
  • A self-starting learner, confident teaching yourself to do things you have never done before.
  • Someone who’s a team player, a positive, motivating person to be around
  • Knowledge of SQL, machine learning, Python and R are a plus.
