Job Description

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will have a tremendous hands-on impact on the direction of the business, bringing on board our new strategic partnerships. You will be working closely with the CEO and leadership team to identify commercially valuable partnerships with key players (e.g. insurance providers, comparison websites, fleet businesses etc), building business cases, developing prospects, pitching to target clients and closing business. You will support and lead on ad hoc strategic projects as required

As a BDM, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory talks to promote Fixter unique proposition 
  • Drive and execute distribution deals for Fixter services with the automotive industry
  • Identify and prioritise partner targets and become an expert on each target’s organization, business model and strategic priorities
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams and stakeholders (product, engineering, marketing, operations)

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of consulting in a similar environment, start-up scars and the following key skills and experience:

  • Business development or sales experience involving building proposals and pitching to clients
  • Strategic thinking with structured approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to think about the bigger picture
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable as demands and priorities change
  • Keen to get involved with different aspects of a growing business
  • Motivated by learning, developing and innovating
