Job Description

We’re looking for a talented health and safety professional to help us keep the good energy flowing on a fulltime, 12-month fixed term basis.
In this role, you'll be part of a national team delivering H&S best practice to Clarus' operations and activities. You’ll be joining a supportive team in a hybrid working environment, who work within an atmosphere where autonomy and flexibility compliments the challenging and interesting work environment.
This role will be heavily focused on contractor engagement and assurance; supporting our First Renewables team with the Tauhei Solar Farm, and our Rockgas bulk delivery team.
You can expect to:
- Develop and implement robust, contract-specific assurance programmes
- Have oversight of H&S performance of key contractors
- Provide high level assessments on contractors’ current performance in H&S
- Undertake regular visits to key sites - providing consistent H&S presence and engagement
- Provide accurate and timely metrics, analysis and reports that support leaders and the business to make good decisions.
Qualifications
He aha tāu e kawe mai (What you will bring)
Along with your relevant health and safety qualifications, you'll also have 7+ years' experience in health and safety including covering contractor assurance.
You will have superior communication and influencing skills, excellent writing skills - able to adjust to different audiences.
Experience in the Infrastructure and/or Transport industry is preferred.
