Our Bell Block based finance team is on the hunt for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team to provide financial advice and accounting technical support to the business, in relation to statutory reporting, regulatory reporting, tax and treasury.  This role also provides people leadership to a small team.

In this role you can expect to:

• Provide accurate, relevant and timely financial and technical information to the supported business areas.
• Complete statutory reporting for the First Gas group, parent and subsidiaries, including the compilation of annual and interim reports for shareholders.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to deliver ongoing improvement in both the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting policies, procedures and controls that are in place.
• Coach, mentor and develop employees
• Provide back-up for the Group Finance Manager

Do you have?

• Tertiary accounting qualification
• Chartered Accountant membership
• 3+ years’ experience in an equivalent finance role
• In-depth understanding of management, financial, regulatory and tax reporting
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards eg. GAAP, FRS’s
• Exceptional relationship building skills
• A willingness to learn, develop and share knowledge
