We're full steam ahead at First Gas and need new people to be part of our journey.  We're on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer  to join our easy-going team, providing technical support to Operations and Projects within First Gas.

The successful candidate will have some experience and knowledge of process mechanical systems, be a great communicator and ready to soak up all the experience of our talented team in Bell Block (or via MS Teams).  You’ll need to know your spanner from your hammer, as this role gets you out and about with our field team.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Mechanical engineering support to our operations team.
  • Facilitating minor technical change requests received from the field and engineering
  • Carrying out Event initial corrective actions and subsequent mitigating actions
  • Development of scope definitions at the front end of projects
  • Technical/risk assessment, options assessment, cost evaluation and initiation of preferred rectification scopes

Qualifications

Do you have?

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree, or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience
  • Self-management skills with a focus on work prioritisation and planning
  • A willingness to learn, develop and share knowledge
  • Confident using MS Office
