Job Description

Is data your thing?  Does predictive modelling and people analytics get you excited?

We're looking to the future, and we'll need a Senior Analyst to join our Operations team, on a 12-month fixed term basis, to help us understand what that future could look like.  We require someone with experience of developing data models, who can work with senior leaders to understand the implications different business models will have on our people.  We are conscious our future workforce is likely to change: demographics will be different, employee expectations, technology will change work and environmental influences are likely to provide us with opportunities not currently foreseen.    We want to get ahead of this curve and need someone to hypothesis their way through it.

To be successful in this autonomous data analyst role, you’ll need to be comfortable taking the lead and:

  • Generating and advising on how to use data insights to better understand why, where and how our organisation may change and advise senior leaders where to apply resources to improve outcomes.
  • Providing data, analysis, evaluation and research to inform decision-making on strategy, prioritisation and investment.
  • Identifying areas of focus for improving overall performance and help to prioritise action that produces results.
  • Contributing to the production of accurate and timely performance reports, trend analysis and business information.
  • Developing effective working relationships and networks with key individuals and groups across the business.

Qualifications

Is this you?

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (for example Operation Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics) or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Over 5 years’ experience developing data models to determine impacts of a range of business scenarios
  • Exceptional communicator – you have the ability to communicate and work with a range of people, in a conscientious and inclusive way
