Job Description

The Strategy Advisor supports the strategic development of the Firstgas Group asset base to secure current growth opportunities and ensure we can play an active role in the low carbon economy.  Accountabilities of the role include:

  • providing research and insights that ensures our strategic plan accounts for changes in the energy system and NZ business context
  • supporting the business planning cycle
  • working with individual BUs to identify and articulate their growth strategy
  • develop business cases to support plans and investment opportunities
  • develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders that support intelligence gathering
  • develop and maintain analytical frameworks and support the development of financial models to support strategies
  • proactively engage with parties that are needed o bring growth initiatives to fruition.

Qualifications

You will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, commerce or law
  • Proven experience in a consulting environment or a Strategic Analyst role
  • Proven experience developing business cases
  • Proven experience developing and converting new market opportunities
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Financial modelling skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
