JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the job is to be a center of excellence for STCF products and solutions for the Bank.

The role is responsible for working with Coverage teams in originating structured trade solutions, monitoring the deals globally.

Specific Accountability:

  • Work with the relationship managers in the origination, structuring and implementation of complex trade finance deals for local and international companies – bilateral/ transactional/structured facilities
  • Manage complex trade finance transactions being referred by clients, partner banks and other financial institutions
  • Assist in structuring of complex transactions e.g. inventory financing, borrowing base, credit insurance structures, prepayment/PXF
  • Report, monitor and assess risks in structured trade finance deals and put in measures to mitigate them
  • Participate in internal discussions with credit, risk, legal and compliance teams and any other internal stakeholders on complex trade finance deals, including counterparty on-boarding
  • Participate in external discussions with clients’ functions, lawyers, external consultants and any other external parties on structured trade finance deals
  • Work with the relationship managers in the preparation of term sheets, credit applications and negotiation of documentations on complex trade and commodity finance product and solutions
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of products, systems, processes, and practices while considering client needs and market developments
  • Delivery of specific revenue targets, returns on risk adjusted assets and equity consistent and commensurate with the Bank’s acceptable risk parameters
  • Actively participate in opportunities to update product skills, understand market trends and competitor behaviours
  • Work with Coverage team on creating detailed Client Account Plan for growing complex trades and maximize market share
  • Handle transactions on end-to-end basis

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or equivalent discipline

Minimum Experience:

10+ years Transaction Banking experience with specialized knowledge in Structured Trade & Commodity Finance. Candidate should have an experience of Origination, Developing Client Relationship and Team Management
