Job Description

The purpose of this job is to support Employee Relations team to ensure employees receive a client focused, proactive, effective & professional HR service throughout the employee lifecycle.

 

Generic Accountability

  • Provide support on disciplinary process ensuring consistency, fairness and confidentiality
  • Support, the governance and update of HR policies related to the Bank
  • Counsel line managers on the disciplinary process and deliverables
  • Conduct employee behavioural investigations, prepare reports & ER packs, document meetings.
  • Consult with Group Fraud Unit, Internal Audit and Legal on case management and provide information on case precedents
  • Where required, communicate decision to employee and business
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on implementation of decision
  • Track progress and closure of ER cases
  • Stay abreast of local and international regulations and best practices
  • Participate and implement preventive awareness agenda
  • Provide specialist ER support to line managers and HR Business Partners in effectively dealing with ER related matters.
  • Ensure ER processes and disciplinary actions adheres to local and international employment practices, policies and legislative requirements.
  • Responsible for managing end to end employee relations cases (grievances, disciplinary, etc.) in collaboration with Group Fraud Risk for any non-behavioural cases.
  • Work closely with ER Managers for administering Legal cases and HR related Court requirements.
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting as a result of disciplinary action.
  • Streamline processes for managing ER administration, in particular ensure standard documentation is used.
  • Management of ER business continuity plan.
  • Develop and maintain key internal relationships with stakeholders.
  • The role holder will be expected to assist key stakeholders (primarily: Their Business Line, Compliance Control Room and Group HR) to ensure Conflicts of Interest and FABs Code of Conduct policies and protocols are upheld. The role holder will also partner and advise the aforementioned on; conflicts management, policy, process, procedure and breach escalation, including but not limited to core themes such as; Gifts, Entertainments, Personal Account Dealing, Outside Business Interests/Activities, Material Deals and Information Walls.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.

Minimum Experience

  • 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
