Job Description

  • The Candidate will be working as Specialist, Governance & Change Management in Finance Transformation & Business strategy team under group finance.
  • He/she will be responsible for managing Group Finance Chart of Accounts & Projects, while ensuring adherence to the Governance and Change Management policies & framework

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Generic Accountability

  • Support Financial, Regulatory & MI project requirements across all Group Finance & Treasury units

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Manage Chart of Accounts approval & execution process, covering Products, GLs, Profit Centers, Segments, Cost Centers, etc.
  • Understand Financial and MI Reporting processes such as allocation, budget/forecasting, regulatory reporting
  • Perform data analysis on financial data using multiple sources such as Trial balance, and non-financial sources
  • Ensure adherence to Governance and Change Management framework to support the execution of activities related to New Initiatives, BAU Requests, and Change Requests across all units in Group Finance & Treasury
  • Independently manage Book of Work for specific units within Finance and Treasury
  • Ensure adherence to Risk and Issue Management policies by highlighting Risks/Issues, maintaining mitigation plans and appropriate escalation to all stakeholders
  • Independently manage scope, timeline, budget, capacity and communication plan for specific Finance Projects
  • Manage the UAT process within various Finance functions, ensuring coverage, timely execution and manage the end-to-end sign-off process.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting degree/diploma. If any other degree, then relevant experience in a Finance function
  • Desirable:
    • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP)
    • Finance/Accounting certifications (ACCA or CA)

Minimum Experience

  • 2 years relevant experience in banking/finance sector, or in a Finance function
  • Desirable:
    • Experience using ERP / General Ledger systems such as Oracle, SAP, Wolters Kluwer and banking systems like Temenos, Intellect, etc.
