Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the Islamic private banking and KCG within the bank. This involves developing and implementing strategies to grow the business and ensuring that the team delivers excellent service and advise to clients. He is also responsible for managing budgets, developing and maintaining partnership with other departments within the bank and complying with relevant laws, regulations and policies. He should have deep understanding of Islamic finance principles and practices, as well as strong leadership and management skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow the Islamic private banking division, KCG & Elite division, including identifying new business opportunities, expanding the division’s market share and building relationship with high-net-worth individuals and key clients.
  • Overseeing the execution of financial transactions that comply with Islamic principles, including sharia compliant financing, investment and risk management techniques.
  • Managing the financial performance of the divisions, including setting targets, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Leading and managing a team of professionals, including setting performance goals, providing mentorship and support and evaluating employee performance.

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators and other financial institutions
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to Islamic Finance.
  • Providing personalized financial services to private banking clients, including advice on sharia compliant investment and financing options.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and development and continually seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.

Minimum Experience

12 years relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Islamic Retail and private banking.
