Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To enable the assessment and credit decisions relating to unsecured credit facilities, credit cards, Personal loans.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Retail Credit Appraisals  

  • Ensure high and accurate Pre-screening of Cards / Loans applications and analyze credit proposal within the policy guidelines and within acceptable timeframe as per agreed SLA.
  • Ensures discrepancies/ Fraudulent applications are escalated to line Manager and internal Fraud control Unit.
  • Conducts telephonic and / or field verification to check the authenticity of information and documentation provided by the applicant.
  • Prepare detailed notes for recommendation and escalate to next level for accurate decisioning.
  • Coordinates with internal customers Business Unit, CAD and collection to ensure adherence to guidelines and that all requests are attended to in a prompt and professional manner and within the agreed timelines. .

 

Policies & Procedures

  • Ensures the Preparation, Maintenance and recording of all documents and data relating to loans and Credit facilities in the pre and post approval stages in a systematic manner adhering to requisite legal formalities and internal policies.

 

Self- Management Responsibilities

  •  Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  • Identifies training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
  • Strives to achieve with the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through related trainings.

  • Number of credit proposals reviewed.
  • Turnaround time for reviewing applications.
  • Adherence to policies, processes, and procedure of FAB
  • Minimal or nil error rates

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, Banking or any related discipline.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience.
