Job Description
Generic Accountability
- Be a lead contributor in the LPM team to support business plan taking into account the competitive, regulatory and environmental factors impacting the industry and our clients.
- Establish and foster strong working relationships with key internal stake holders (e.g., loan origination teams, coverage teams, Group Credit, CAD, Loan Agency, Agency Operations, Group Legal, Group Compliance, etc.)
- Assist the Head of LPM in the management of KPI targets for LPM.
- Ensure compliance with all Legal, Compliance, Risk and Audit requirements. Alert management and assist to take appropriate action to meet regulatory requirements (UAE & International),
- Assist Head of LPM to assess and Implement new products / business development as required
Job Context:
Specific Accountability:
- Lead and coordinate waiver and amendment processes.
- Be a lead contributor from LPM to provide valuable inputs during Annual Reviews.
- Supervise setting up of covenant trackers by junior / contractor staff and then ensure all covenants are monitored in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for timely preparation of various portfolio reports for management consideration.
- Provide analytical support and help develop a point of view in support of Head of LPM, Head of LPMD and Head of GCF.
- Ensure internal reporting is accurate and timely and support the Head of LPM on strategic initiatives including budgeting and business planning.
Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision-Making Authority:
- Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organizational and governance frameworks
- Authorized to take decisions as per the approved authorization matrix.
Qualifications
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Business or related discipline. MBA and/or professional qualification such as CFA advantageous.
- Fluent in English. Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Able to present complex topics to a senior audience, with good grasp of details
Experience:
- 8+ years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5 years in corporate loan markets with portfolio management responsibilities.
- Sound understanding of corporate financials, legal concepts and loan mechanics, with first-hand experience of documenting loan transactions.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to extract and interpret from large volumes of data.
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of output. Adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Affinity and respect for local cultures of the UAE and Middle East.
- Fluent in English. Arabic language skills advantageous. Knowledgeable of local, Middle East and International markets
