Job Description

Product Development & Management

  • Manage and drive the growth of FAB’s market leading proposition to Financial Institution clients – AED & RCC (multi-Currency clearing proposition)
  • Be responsible for end-to-end Product Performance Management including P/L and delivery of revenue targets, and as well as enhancing our market leading proposition leveraging on regulatory initiatives, market trends and client requirements.
  • Engage with relevant regulators and community groups in exchanging innovative ideas on market trends, including disruptions from new entrants and find way to enhance UAE payment landscape to create innovative benefits for clients.
  • Participate in Industry and technology forums including discussions on new x-border account, branch and partnerships, clearing arrangements, compliance, regulatory and operations working groups.
  • Active participation in SWIFT forums, and leverage on their initiatives to create innovative product solutions for Financial Institution and Corporate clients.
  • Proactively evaluate internal and external factors, including competitor growth, and implement plans to mitigate all potential risk, leverage on opportunities to attain revenue targets and retain our market leading stature.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end implementation of ISO and SWIFT initiatives in line with FI Strategies to enhance product proposition and improve product outreach.
  • Be responsible for developing FI product strategy & Business Plan in partnership with various internal product stakeholders.
  • Nominated participation in industry initiatives such as CBDC, Tokenization and SWIFT initiatives related to cross border payment.
  • Formulate and drive the timely and effective implementation of FI strategies, solutions, and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and analyze market trends and best practices in engaging the organization for digital enablement and delivery of products and services within the FI space.

Network Management

  • Be responsible for end-to-end Group Network Management functions, including identification, selections and management of best-in-class Nostro Banks, to cater to FAB and their client’s foreign currency payment needs.
  • Ensure all risk associated with managing Cash Correspondent Bank relationship are managed and mitigated in line with Group Network Management and Compliance policy.
  • Conduct extensive and transparent RFP process in selection of Correspondent Banks by engaging and liaising with internal and external stakeholders in line with Group Network Management policy.
  • Conduct periodic service reviews with Nostro Banks and other third-party service providers, to ensure all documentation related to Legal and Compliance are up-to date including review of other Nostro parameters such Pricing, Product Capabilities and Service Level.
  • Partner with Nostro Banks to identify their market trends, leverage on their capability to create best-in-class product solutions for FAB clients.

Subject matter Expert

  • Should be a leader in Payment Business including local and cross border payment space and should carry a deep understanding on other payment processing parameters such as Global Compliance, Legal and various international Regulatory environment including UAE and FAB presence locations.

Product Development & Management

  • Lead and manage the end to end to product development activities and ensure all operational, business, compliance, legal and regulatory environment requirements are met.
  • Lead the conversation with FIG, Compliance and Legal on innovative solutions as conceptualized/ implemented are extended to FI clients benefits by implementing in relevant Online Banking solutions.
  • Responsible for relevant collaterals, website content, market strategy, commercialization, and communication strategy of product launches.

Network Management

  • Conduct periodic service reviews of network arrangements in order to ensure cost effective solutions and superior customer service; collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive or enhance efficient processing standards with improved service levels, turnaround time (TAT) and controls.

Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision-making Authority

  • Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks.
  • Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in banking, business, finance, economics or related discipline.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Finance/Risk management would be an advantage

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5-7 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Cash Product Management function.
  • Good knowledge of international and regional cash products including Payments, FX and Collections offered as part of transaction banking business.
  • Experience in developing, delivering, servicing and/or managing products with proven project management skills
