Job Description

The role holder is responsible for driving implementation of CBG Strategic Workstreams and top priority business initiatives. The role holder is expected to use their analytical and problem solving skills, content knowledge, PMO/organisation and influence/communication skills to coordinate broad teams of business and support function experts to successfully implement strategic workstreams and high-priority initiatives and ensure they generate positive business impact.

Specific Accountability

  • ​​​​Drive the execution of Consumer Banking Group strategic workstreams and transformational initiatives with minimal support/intervention from line manager and in compliance with relevant group policies
  • Lead strategic initiative implementation teams comprising staff from across the business and support functions, using influence to ensure initiatives are delivered on-time and generate the desired business impact
  • Apply strong organisation skills and governance best practices to create transparency on workstream and initiative performance
  • Take ownership of workstream issues and challenges, deploying problem solving and analytical skills, content knowledge and influence to collaboratively develop resolutions that deliver the desired impact. Including:
  1. Independently research competitor and global best practices to aid solution identification
  2. Leverage on past experiences and deploy innovative mindset to help shape business solutions
  3. Analyse customer, market and financial data to estimate benefits/costs and recommend course of action
  4. Develop clear and compelling strategic documents to aid business to make the necessary decisions
  5. Present recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders in compelling and convincing manner
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships across Consumer Banking leadership team and colleagues to positively influence the strategic direction of the business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Preferably top-tier university

Minimum Experience

  • 5+ years experience in either consulting and/or in-house strategy teams for retail banks
  • Internal candidates with retail banking understanding, financial background, PMO and strong interest in strategy work (MBA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Strong organisation and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
