Job Description

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the development of proposals to enhance the FTP methodology. These proposals will assess factors such as the effectiveness with which the current FTP process transfers interest rate and liquidity risk from the lines of business to Global Markets and Group Treasury.
  • Proactively drive the production of balance sheet analyses which provide value added insights on how to optimally manage the Groups structural interest rate and liquidity position.
  • Lead the production of regular and adhoc analyses on all aspects of the balance sheet as required by the Head of Balance Sheet Management and Group Treasurer;
  • Drive enhancements to the BAU FTP MI in order to support decision making by Group ALCO and the Product heads;
  • Work in collaboration with FTBS to ensure that the Group FTP model (OFSAA) accurately applies Liquidity Premia and COF/VOF rates to all balance sheet items;
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the control framework surrounding the monthly FTP process and obtain buy-in from key stakeholders to implement recommendations;
  • Provide high quality explanations to the business finance teams, which clearly articulate the drivers of month on month change in FTP;
  • Ensure that the documentation comprehensively covers the configuration of OFSAA. Specifically this documentation covers the FTP treatment applied to all products on FAB chart of Accounts. In addition maintain a log of all adjustments and special rates applied to the FTP output produced by OFSAA;
  • Ensure that all FTP related adjustments are accurately posted to One SumX in a timely manner.
