FABRIC focuses on designing customer-facing solutions to meet the unique and rapidly changing needs of the Bank. Through the right mix of creativity, technology and expertise, FABRIC enables FAB teams to solve business challenges in an accelerated way by working collaboratively.

FABRIC is made up of 5 key components:

- Co:Create: Enables teams across the bank to solve business challenges through the right mix of people, process and technology

- FinTech: Engage the maturing fintech ecosystem. Better identify, validate & work with fintech companies

- Research: Research and user testing to enable real customers to validate projects and initiatives

- Innovation Strategy: A program to engage staff across the bank to inspire, educate and enable teams to leverage the lab and its toolkit

- Product Design: Design center of excellence. Championing design principles and craft across the bank.

About the Role

  • The Innovation Manager is a key driver of FABRIC success. (S)he will ensure FABRIC is a critical enabler of tangible corporate innovation and FAB’s wider digital transformation goals in an era of constant, disruptive change.
  • The Ideal candidate has experience in delivering organisational change through awareness, events, workshops, education and storytelling.  The Innovation Manager will work to evangelise FABRIC and the “Innovation Toolkit” with internal stakeholders.
  • This candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and the knowledge to continue to add and contribute to the team's approach to solving customer problems through the right mix of people, processes and technology

Key Accountabilities: 

Innovation Toolkit

  • Ensure the Innovation Toolkit is available, actionable and valuable. Track the impact & value of the Innovation Toolkit with core teams
  • Support team operations to coordinate and optimise team tasks
  • Help to coordinate teams and manage risk across FABRIC projects
  • Support the Head of Innovation Strategy with running weekly/bi-weekly rituals for the FABRIC team

Innovation Program

  • Support the delivery of the FABRIC program to inspire teams to be more creative, reach for innovation, and explore new ways of working. Including key events, workshops and activities to drive conversion on the Innovation Toolkit.

Capability Building

  • Support the delivery of focussed training to upskill teams across the bank on Design Thinking, FinTech and Creativity. With a goal to act on the services in the Innovation Toolkit.
  • Gather feedback on training and present findings

Storytelling

  • Work closely with content teams to produce rich content that is in line with the comms strategy, supports FABRIC’s vision and promotes FABRIC’s services & success stories

Qualifications

  • Proven history of Project Management of cross-functional teams
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Proven history of Marketing/advertising/ Branding
  • Curious and eager to read and learn about the latest trends & technology out there.
  • Excellent leadership skills, problem resolution abilities, and good judgement
  • Planning and analytical skills are essential
  • Strong command of English language both verbal and written a must, with Arabic a plus
  • Demonstrates flexibly when addressing shifting or competing priorities
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Impeccable personal time management
