Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The role holder is responsible for developing and managing relationships with key strategic partners (both private and government) with the objective of deepening commercial arrangements and generating opportunities that can strengthen FAB’s overall customer offering and brand in the market. The role holder will also be responsible for working closely with products and finance teams to identify portfolio improvement opportunities, thus generating higher returns for the Bank.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategy Formulation, Implementation and Planning

Contribute to the overall process of decision making to ensure the CBG maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability and returns.

Monitor FAB’s position in Elite Banking space and implement strategies to improve market competitiveness.

Leadership

Demonstrate inspiring leadership to move a group of employees in a unified direction and vision.

Act as a role model and champion adherence to organisational values to ensure the establishment of a value driven culture within the Group.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Manage and ensure effective implementation of approved functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Continuous Improvement

Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

Ensure that all unit reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Consumer Banking and FAB Group requirements, policies and quality standards.

Utilize analytics tools and work with the MIS team in undertaking detailed analyses of sales business performance for the purpose of reporting business strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities.

Partnerships Management

Collaborate with Strategy and Products teams to identify the areas of focus in the near and long term and identify strategic partners who can help us win that space.

Explore a broad range of partnership options – ranging from fintech, product-linked, acquisition-linked, etc. in line with the financial and strategic objectives.

Develop partnership charters, detailing the engagement terms and benefits for all parties involved. Ensure that the arrangements are sustainable and drive the strategic agenda forward for CBG.

Manage the on-going relationship to look at expanding the scope of partnership and to monitor the expected benefits and outcomes to course correct as needed.

Portfolio Management

Evaluate and study market trends to look for options to continuously strengthen the CBG portfolio and maximize returns for all stakeholders involved.

Enable and lead changes to continuously innovate and beat the best we have had.

Working closely with finance to ensure balance sheet optimization and execution of actions supporting PnL growth.

Managing discussions with Sales and Products team to identify the portfolio enhancement opportunities through initiation of special projects, etc.

Operational Management

Manage all aspects of relationship with key partners including proposals, contract terms, grievance management, analysis of returns, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in banking or finance.

Master’s degree in business administration is preferred.

Minimum Experience

10 years of experience in areas of project management and partnerships.
