Job Description

The role holder is responsible in shaping and enabling strategic planning process and the implementation of strategic projects of GPB in UAE and Internationally. The role holder is responsible for providing market intelligence and modelling and establishing business plans and private banking proposition.

The role holder is also supporting the Balanced Scorecard Process for all business units within GPB and to ensure the breakdown of the strategic plan into tangible short-term objectives: e.g KPIs, initiatives with Group’s various products & services teams, external & internal services providers e.g. counterparties, brand awareness and market visibility e.g. thought leadership, awards, special situations,

  • Structuring & delivering strategic insight to support GPB decision making and influence GPB’s strategic direction. This includes formulation of strategy and its execution across local, regional and international private banking businesses.
  • Leading strategic projects for GBP executives and managing broad project teams comprising strategy, business and functional staff assembled to implement key initiatives
  • Analysing strategic options and developing business and financial plans to support recommendations
  • Communication of GPB strategy and strategic insights to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Development and execution of market intelligence and competitor monitoring
  • Supporting the Balance Scorecard Process for all units within GPB
  • Spearhead budget development and management with a focus on strengthening and diversifying revenue streams and efficient cost management.
  • Lead collaboration for the build-out and/or strengthening of engagement and partnerships with international Private Banking centers in line with the value proposition.
  • Responsibility for spearheading and management of initiatives with all relevant products and services teams across the Group to ensure and enhance client centric propositions.


Job knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Knowledge of and experience in private banking, finance, products & services, management, etc.;
  • Team player with a positive disposition who works extremely well with subordinates, engagement of peers and superiors as well as clients as appropriate.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage/develop and lead a team;
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Presentation Skills and use of PowerPoint/Excel  
  • Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professionalism and personal integrity.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as working effectively with other teams and departments within the Bank.

Academic/Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Strategy or Finance or equivalent
  • 10+ Year of work experience in a Private Bank or a Management Consulting firm
