Job Description

Sr. Service owner will be accountable of managing the technical delivery and support of all products while collaborating with platform teams from techncail, delivery and support prespective and ensuring that the work is delivered on committed timelines and deliverables. Focused on feasibility, sustainability & technical design for sub product/program

Qualifications

Generic Accountability

  • Full stack Service Owner with total of 10+ years’ experience will have a range of responsibilities from owning and managing business and technical backlog planning and deliveries E2E. He must be coming from technical and management background and would be accountable for business service line and application including development and production environment support.
  • Work with closely with Mortgages and Auto Lending business, Delivery owner & Lead Product owner to drive end to end delivery of products along with the creation, planning, execution and closure of deliverables that involve IT operations, data assets and infrastructure changes.
  • Manage the stability, resilience and maintenance of Production Services by ensuring all non functional requirements are implemented and maintained to defined standards.

Specific Accountability

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to strategize, define and communicate the technical requirements that are expected to be executed by the team.
  • Responsible for Mortgages and Auto Lending application and has deep knowledge and understanding of Mortgages and Auto Lending business from technical and business perspective.
  •  Ensure all components from the enablement teams are delivered on time as per the agreed train
  • Provide guidance, prioritization, organization and motivation for the team prior to and during each Sprint to reduce blockers and maximize output
  • Communicate to all levels of the organization both verbally and in written form the plans and progress of the team. This includes roadmaps and program/project status reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with Lead Product Owner and Delivery Owner to plan a deliverable’s execution, support them in planning the management of scope, costs and schedule.
  • Ownership and fully accountable about delivery plan, budget management, vendor management, quality of the delivery, risks, timeline, coordination, reporting, hiring resources and communication with different stakeholders.
  • Manage Planned and unplanned changes, risks and production issues & incidents to ensure rapid delivery and greater predictability
  • Accountable for ensuring the adoption of technical delivery of CI/CD and automation
  • Ensure right infrastructure teams are engaged during planning to ensure deliverable timeline is aligned to the train and the cost
  • Accountable for the completion of all NFRs before changes are released to Production and on an enduring basis for the lifetime of the product/application
  •  Accountable for the Ownership and Management of the remediation of Risks and Issues
  • Responsible for planning and execution of vulnerability management, access control management, Risk and control management and patch management.
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of Disaster Recovery exercises
  • Accountable for ensuring the provision of a robust production support model for their applications/Products.  Responsible for ensuring all supporting services and components also have a robust support model to be called upon when needed.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Run-books and Knowledge Articles to be used in times of Incidents
  • Define and update the skillset and responsibilities required for each of the roles in the team.

Additional Information

Necessary Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in a medium to large-sized IT department, and has a good knowledge of IT functions, systems, applications and processes.
  • Must have experience in Mortgages and Auto Lending
  • Must be coming from both technical  and management background.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Experience with other standardized development methodologies such as Waterfall or RUP
  • Experience of process management or ownership.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, facilitating status meetings and presenting to large groups.
  • Ability to identify problems, mediate issues, develop solutions, and implement appropriate courses of action.
  • Proven to have implemented solutions aligned to Architectural strategic alignment
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, Jira and Confluence (or equivalent tools)

Preferred Skills (Good to have)

  • Banking background and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Scrum Master experience and/or managing using an Agile Development methodology
  • Minimum of a year of Technical Project/ Program Management experience implementing solutions on Cloud-based platforms, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
