Job Description

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to grow trade business, working closely with the relationship managers, to help drive targeted growth in trade product and solutions to achieve revenue growth in IBG & PCG Abu Dhabi.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for trade product growth jointly with the coverage teams in IBG & PCG Abu Dhabi.

• Execute strategic calling plans for each industry segment in conjunction with relationship managers (as appropriate) to deepen trade product penetration across client segments in Abu Dhabi.

• Responsible for structuring complex trade deals and providing technical expertise to relationship managers.

• Assist in the structuring of bespoke open account solutions (SCF & RF) and ensure a high quality customer experience through consultative approach, design and implementing workable and innovative solutions for customers needs.

• Maintain close liaison with intra region and cross regional stakeholders to bring about network connectivity to facilitate cross border trade.

• Work with the RMs to build up strong trade pipeline and work hard to push for pipeline closing.

• Partner with coverage teams in order to develop quality credit proposals supporting structuring of Trade facilities and proactively managing transactional risk in an efficient and profitable manner.

• Manage proactively the fraud and compliance risks in the trade business when developing solutions for clients.

• Contribute to the preparation of the sub-department & sub-unit budget and monitor the unit’s cost-income ratio, and make the line manager  aware of performance gaps with suggestions to rectify and improve performance.

• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of products, systems, processes, and practices while taking into account client needs and market developments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in banking, business, finance, economics or related discipline.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Finance/Risk management would be an advantage.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 12 years relevant Trade Finance experience in Transaction Banking.
  • Good knowledge of international trade finance products, international trade regulations UCP, URDG, URC etc.
  • Good knowledge of Supply Chain Finance and Receivable Finance solutions.
  • Good understanding of the multi-regional environment, culture, regulations and clients.
  • Superior team player.
  • Fluent in English with high level oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with making client presentations, with strong PPT & Excel skills.
