Job Description

  • Leads one or more Service Delivery teams within a Service (depending on technical complexity of applications and stakeholders being managed)
  • Manages end 2 end service roadmap & implementation for the Service Teams in their remit
  • Works closely with other Service Owners to delivery initiatives impacting multiple teams and applications.

Generic Accountability

As Service Owner you will lead and be responsible for one or multiple Service teams under a Service basis the complexity of technology, number of applications and stakeholders being managed . You will ensure the Service team / teams are mobilized and shaped up as per the Service Delivery Model.

The responsibilities will include :

  • Acts as a Servant leader & creates autonomous Team
  • Owns & Manages ETE Technology Service roadmap and Execution
  • Own the support and refresh of applications tagged to the Service delivery team
  • Leads and drives Agile & DevOps ways of working
  • Ensures consistencies across requirements for the Services managed
  • Engages with Product owners and related Service Owners to deliver features impacting multiple applications

Specific Accountability

  • Define vision & value proposition along with Business
  • Builds trust & relationship with Business
  • Service Strategy Input, shaping & maintaining the service catalogue.
  • Oversight on Demand Management & Release Milestones
  • Financial, Compliance and Risk Management complied
  • Setting the right KPIs and OKRs for Service Teams and tracking progress
  • Managing and coordinating cross-services deliveries
  • Shaping the right Agile Culture, Mindset and Maturity
  • Jointly defines the Technology strategic roadmap which lead to Service Teams backlog
  • Works closely with the Product Owners and stakeholders to deliver the target business value
  • Empowers, supports and guides the Service Teams to work effectively
  • Is aware of initiatives in other Domains and ensure alignment / overlap
  •  Provides guidance and extensive support for Service Delivery activation and gradual Agile transformation
  • Accountable for delivery of feature / release for the Service within scope and timeline
  •  Supports Service Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters in delivery of Feature
  • Should be aware of project risks / issues and responsible to support the team in avoiding any impact on the program delivery
  •  Ensures the engineering team has recovery plan / back-up plan for mitigating any risk/ issues
  • Ensure risks / technology vulnerabilities identified during program execution are managed as per IT risk management process and work closely with the team for fixing / mitigating the risk by including in backlog

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ Years of Experience in SDLC or Service Management and atleast 5 years of extensive specialization in a expertise area.
  • Functional and technical understanding of critical systems and banking services
  • Manages and maintains the overall progress of service delivery for their team / teams
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance (technical and non-technical requirements) including establishing metrics, applying FAB established standards
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, able to distill complex problems down to actionable items
  • Deep and broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies that affect the business
  • Expert in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting major portions of a production stack
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex technical risks and issues.
  • Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritization and a pragmatic approach
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss, and explain issues coherently and logically, in writing and verbally
