Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

  • The role is responsible for processing the transactions of on-boarding and remediation of all IB & Government customers in UAE.
  • Ensuring AML & legal risks and accurate detailing before inputting the same into the Bank’s relevant systems.
  • Processing of transactions relating to on-boarding and remediation of around 40k IB & Government customer accounts in the Bank’s systems.
  • Handling an average monthly volume of around 8,400 transactions.
  • He/She is responsible for complying with approval terms for FAB Head Office, representative offices and international branches in compliance with the approval conditions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conducting KYC/ due diligence on all IB & Government clients (New & Existing clients)
  • Onboarding all IB & Government new to bank clients based on the regulatory requirements (UAE) along with the specific product requirements.
  • Conducting the general screening and checks on the customer which involves screening the background of the company, the shareholders, board member, screening the company for adverse media / fines/ enforcement/ Foreign & or Local Politically Exposed Persons ( FPEP/Local PEP) using the available online tools ( i.e. FSK screening and Sanction/adverse media Google screening.)
  • Liaising with Approver/Compliance and providing all the required documents/ information submitted by the client and highlighting key information about the company which may be instrumental in obtaining their approval depending on the risk rating classification.
  • Maintenance of all data in in Alpha system
  • Remediation of IB & Government client mandate Files.
  • Monitor and manage the group email for timely response to queries from internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA).Authorization of on-boarding & maintenance of customers belonging to IB & Government, based on requests received in Alpha from the business in respect of UAE & international locations in line with the local regulations of the respective jurisdictions.
  • Stay abreast with latest developing concepts like new regulations by the UAE Central Bank or legal environment within UAE & international locations & other corporate credit practices.
  • To be fully equipped with the knowledge of products and the transaction processes in the bank.
  • Identify and proactively participate in the transformation process relating to the activities of the unit.
  • Identify and implement new service improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and actively participate in UATs and projects as and when required and provide timely response.
  • Actively arrange for meetings within IB & Government RMs and with other internal stakeholders in order to provide efficient service delivery.
  • Act as a back-up for the On-boarding team.
  • Monitoring and controlling compliance, legal & operational risks for FAB customers.
  • Contribution to business growth by supporting Internal Stakeholders.
  • Adherence to TATs and SLAs.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance. 3-5 years’ experience in Investment Banking with at least 3 years’ experience in the Account Services.

Skills:

  • Knowledge and use of banking software systems, basic PC skills and common MS applications like Excel and Word.
  • Good knowledge of English language (both written and spoken).
  • Good knowledge of Bank's financial system.
  • Very good knowledge of Banking Products / Corporate Credit Administration functions.
  • Good knowledge of U.A.E. legal environment & Central Bank regulations.
  • Team worker, ability to work under pressure, fast learner and attention to details.
