Job Description

Portfolio Manager is responsible & accountable to manage the end-to-end delivery of program & project portfolio for Global Market & GCF. Includes ownership for identifying, prioritizing & coordinating project and program resources engaged with all initiatives with-in respective portfolio.

The role assumes the overarching responsibility for supporting organizational & IT leadership in their efforts at managing and leveraging the entire life cycle of IT investments & initiatives to optimally achieve organization goals & objectives.

Manage one or more Global Market & GCF programs & project portfolios (groups of projects or programs)

  •  Developing the strategic objectives for the portfolio. 
  • Balancing the capacity of the organization of the organization to deliver projects and programmes with the resources available
  • Evaluating the priority of project and programmes within the portfolio to ensure that those that meet the organizations objects receive sufficient resources.
  • Portfolio manager is responsible for aligning programs, projects to strategic objectives and goals of respective service line working closely with Product owner and service owner.
  •  Work with Program manager, PM and Engage with Technology, training, PMO and Heads of department to ensure successful implementation of projects and programs.
  •  Support / guide and coach team of PM and Program manager in tracking and managing all risks, issues and dependency related to program and project to minimize the impact.
  •  Work with and provide regular updates to Sr. Business executives & IT executives regarding the portfolio
  • Guide / coach & grow team of program managers, project managers, project leads to become successful and achieve organization objectives

Qualifications

  • Min. Graduate, Master preferred
  • Total IT delivery experience of 15+ years
  •  Min 12 years of experience in delivering projects in banks in role of project management, program manager or portfolio manager
  •  In depth knowledge of banking & technology is essential and experience of working with cross functional team 
  •  Good stakeholder management capability and worked with senior management
  •  Experienced in managing the team size of more than 20-25 people
  • Experience in Global Market & GCF tech delivery will be preferred
