Job Description

Consumer Banking CAD is an administration unit that enables business growth of First Abu Dhabi Bank’s SME, Consumer Banking and Private Banking Business, meets the service aspirations of all our customers and remains an independent assurance provider of credit quality through the possession of sound credit risk, product and market knowledge.

The role is responsible for activating and releasing of credit limits relating to credit facilities and ensuring accurate detailing before inputting the same into Bank’s system. Further, he/she is responsible for complying with all necessary approval terms and conditions under FAB policies and procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Review Credit applications and update the Limits for all Trade working capital lines including Loans, Overdrafts, and their expiry dates in the system.
  • Activating and releasing the credit limits after the confirmation of document perfection or as per approval (wherever necessary).
  • Creating and releasing Project Guidance/Project specific limits based on the confirmation of documentation (Notice of Assignment and Letter of Assignment)
  • Checking and issuance of memo’s to Loan Operations with regards to disbursements, settlements and other maintenance requests
  • Maintaining accuracy with regard to Limit amount, currency, Interest rates, commission charges, Fee recovery and terms and conditions.
  • Issue memos to Operations for release of Fixed Deposits, block/unblock requests on the Account level linked to facility.
  • Ensuring rectification of any discrepancies and action on requests for any closure/suspension of credit limits in the system.
  • Monitor and Carry out reports such as Limit Expiry, Daily activity, Pending Fee tracker.
  • Prepare the Central Bank reporting data for Classification, new additions, deletions and maintain the tracker for manual exceptions.
  • Prepare the Collateral report for Consumer Banking UAE clients and consolidate the Consumer Banking International collateral data for reporting to IFRS9 and Provisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance or equivalent.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 3-5 experience in SME & Personal Banking with at least 3 years’ experience in the SME & Personal Banking / CAD function.

Skills:

  • Knowledge and use of banking software systems, basic PC skills and common MS applications like Excel and Word.
  • Good knowledge of English language (both written and spoken).
  • Good knowledge of Bank's financial system.
  • Very good knowledge of SME/Commercial Banking segment (Trade working capital)
  • Very good knowledge of U.A.E. legal environment & Central Bank regulations.
  • Team Player, ability to work under pressure, attention to details.
