Job Description

Job Purpose:

To manage a team of assigned Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers to manage and grow a portfolio of profitable borrowing and non-borrowing customer base including Trade & Working capital customers in defined geographical markets in pursuit of specific sales, service, growth and opportunity targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing a team of Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers.
  • Responsible for delivering business across all products in the identified target segment.
  • Responsible to sustain prospecting effort of the assigned team for achieving core financial objectives.
  • Responsible for delivery against assigned financial revenue and balance sheet targets.
  • Ensure the assigned team fulfil customer’s requirements and manage the overall relationship, ensuring quality of service.
  • Responsible for ultimate commercial decision on client to optimize wallet share and returns.
  • Responsible for maximizing Share of Wallet (SOW) at client level across the managed portfolio.
  • Ensure the assigned team maintains pipeline, makes sure the information is complete and accurate, updated and all identified opportunities are included.
  • Sponsor Credit proposals for Borrowing customers in applicable Credit Committees based on delegation.
  • Ensure the assigned team’s deliverables by way of Credit analysis, onboarding and monitoring support for acquisition and management of borrowing customer portfolio with need based assistance from assigned Assistant Relationship Managers.
  • Maintain portfolio quality and ensure NPLs are under control by keeping a close watch on unsatisfactory account and proactively ensuring that customers drawdown get settled on time.
  • Assess the financial and business risks involved in lending to particular businesses, mainly by looking at the company's competitive position within its industry, its strategic direction, management quality, and financial profile.
  • Responsible for service recovery tasks and resolution of escalated customer transactions for breach of TAT and exceptions allowed under Operational Delegation.
  • Ensure the assigned team follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Cooperate and facilitate work of internal audit and risk management to address gaps, and respond to audit reports within agreed deadlines.
  • Monitor money laundering activities, and coordinate remedial actions with management.
  • Demonstrate compliance to organization's values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the bank.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance / Banking), Charterd Accounts, Chartered Finance Analyst or a related major field of study is preferred

Minimum Experience

12 years’ relevant experience handling products like Trade & Working Capital / Commercial Real Estate Lending in the Corporate, Commercial or Business Banking with at least 3 years in similar positions of managing a team of Relationship Managers in the identified target segment.
