Job Description

Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues is a key driver in better business performance and stakeholder value.

The requirements in terms of delivering reporting, analytics and other data work in the field of ESG, especially climate risks, are increasingly rapidly driven by regulators, other authorities and market expectations. Hence it’s important that the ESG risk team has a solid foundation when it comes to monitoring and making decisions based on data.

FAB wants to focus more on ESG going forward, as it is increasingly impacting our clients and represents risks for them, and hence for us. FAB wants on the medium term to be a regional leader on ESG risk management, not only among peers, but among all companies. And to that order not only taking care of our own risks, but also providing guidance to our customers, and help them perform financially better and by that making the transition to a world, where ESG and focus on sustainable transition is material.

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Mining of FAB internal data and external data for ESG and climate purposes
  • Analyzing and verifying internal and external data to ensure data quality so they can be used for ESG related reporting and analyses.
  •  Development and maintenance of a robust data structure and supporting IT in automation of risk monitoring and reporting
  • Contributions to FAB’s net-zero commitments in terms of calculating baseline of financed emissions and setting up sector emission pathways
  • Monitoring, reporting and disclosure requirements under ESG Risk team
  • Carrying out in-depth portfolio analysis to identify ESG risk drivers and support the ESG Risk team in recommending appropriate ESG strategy

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Must have relevant degree or diploma in Data Mining or Data Science
  • Knowledge of either R, SQL, SAS, Python or similar language, or a combination

Minimum Experience

  • At least 1 year demonstrated expertise in reporting and mining data in a financial organization, large company, or government body such as central bank, regulator etc.
