Job Description

The responsibility of the occupant of the role AVP, Product & Portfolio Analytics is to support the function Product & Portfolio Analytics which handles product related requirements of all Personal Banking Group’s entities locally and internationally. This includes the Product & Portfolio functions of all PBG business segments (Mass, Emirati, Elite, Wealth, Private Banking, and Business Banking).

The occupant of the role would  cater to 4 product streams with a focus on product and customer profitability.

The main responsibilities of Product & Portfolio Analytics team are as follows:

  • Provide timely, accurate, independent and relevant analytical insights to enhance product profitability across all PBG segments and units
  • Act as an independent and trusted management advisor for all matters related to  product & portfolio analytics
  • Perform root-cause analysis of respective functions and recommends enhancements to aid Products / Segment teams in optimizing investment spend and other resource allocations

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high quality consulting and analytical support for the most important priorities of FAB’s senior management, providing recommendations that are regularly adopted and have a significant impact on the FAB’s mission.
  • Analyse respective function by performing root cause analysis
  • Track information, statistics and analysis to support business decisions
  • Use data analysis tools with the purpose of enhancing performance as well as providing feedback for future refinement
  • Support function team with the relevant analysis by data mining the Personal Banking databases
  • Track customer programs and segments in terms of financial performance through root cause analysis to aid the business in decision making at the program level
  • Track marketing programs
  • Adhere to the analysis calendar and make certain that analysis milestones are accomplished
  • Analytics support for PBG, with focus on credit cards and debit cards
  • Preparation of monthly Cards Analytics packs and highlight the key trends to management
  • The role involves taking on ownership of the customer focused activities for deepening relationships to increase share of revenues and profits for Personal Banking Group
  • It involves considerable amount of  internal communication with Business teams, IT and Finance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS/Statistics or related discipline

Minimum Experience:

  • 6-8 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 4 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the analytics function.
