Job Description

The AVP, Internal Communications will manage all internal communication channels for the Group Marketing & Communications function at BANK.  Their role is to create, implement and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively describes and promote the organisations ambitions and its products. The AVP, Internal Communications performs a variety of tasks, such as content development, template development, assessment of internal communications channels, developing dashboard for the department and analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of communication channels. Also responsible for ensuring all messages are consistent and aligned with the Group strategy.

  • Responsible for execution of the internal communications plan for new programs, policies & changes and use the agency appropriately.
  • Responsible for creating content and managing content calendar for all the internal communication channels.
  • Responsible for tracking the usage of internal communication channels through metrics and develop team dashboard.
  • Identify emerging topics and develop proactive plans to communicate with stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with agencies to build translation of collateral created for the employees.
  • Responsible for measuring the impact of the communication efforts by use of right tools and systems.
  • Implementing communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for the organisation.
  • Collating and analysing current communications (internal and external) and messages, ensuring consistency.
  • Executing Internal communication strategy across the Group – locally and internationally.
  • Responsible for developing executive messages, preparing presentations and internal memos, and conduct meetings to share information.
  • Manage and provide direction for communication for all internal communications channels.
  • Derive critical insights by analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvements, gathering requirements, and prioritizing requests.
  • Lead and develop new intranet tools and employee engagement tools for effective employee engagement.

Qualifications

Skills Required

  • Must possess very strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree qualified of 2.1 or above in English, Media and Communications or relevant field is a must.
  • Previous experience as a communications manager for a similar organisation would be a strong advantage with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Highly articulate individual with excellent written communications and confident presentation skills are essential.
  • A proven ability to lead communications strategies in other organisations.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Skilled in ensuring a collaborative management environment, succeeding through regular meetings and clear formal and informal communication with members of various teams.
  • Superior project management and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and engage and motivate teams representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.
