Job Description

To provide support for Static data maintenance as part of a centralized team supporting multiple regions, locally and internationally.

Part of a dynamic department responsible for maintaining and updating reference data in Murex, Bloomberg, core Banking system (Intellect/T24) and other applications used by GMO and other departments within the Bank. This role will help facilitate the booking, settlement and STP operations while ensuring data accuracy, consistency and integrity across all the Banks systems that either require full or part maintenance by the RDG team

Reporting.

Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies and quality standards.

  •  Counterparty data maintenance in CTMR Murex, MLC, Bloomberg, and any other bank wide system requiring reference data
  •  Set up and maintenance of Standard and Complex Security / Instrument static data
  •  Updating and maintaining both issue (security) and issuer ratings in both Murex and MLC
  • Aligning MLC naming convention to counterparties created / existing in CTMR
  • MLC amendments to be identified for missing data and update process to be followed
  • Ensuring accuracy and correctness of counterparty hierarchy set up
  • Ensuring set up and maintenance of Standard Settlement Instructions
  • Maintaining account mappings in CTMR Murex with various upstream applications interfacing with Murex
  • Assistance with the review and update of SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
  • On-going cleansing of Counterparty Static in MLC (ie. Intellect/T24 account numbers, ID’s, Passport / Trade License    numbers, SWIFT address, Reuters ID, etc.)
  • On-going cleansing and maintenance of SSI (eg. account numbers, BenB, BenC, BIC, etc)
  • Completion of checklists and controls in order to provide proof of reconciliation / day to day activities
  • Identify and report/escalate potential risks associated with the role to the supervisor
  • Ensure all requests concerning any changes in the creation / maintenance of reference data are actioned in a timely manner
  • Act as the main point of contact for GMO, CAD and GM for any reference data issues
  • Ensure correct supporting documentation is received and stored safely when supporting requests for the set up / update of counterparty, cash account or instrument reference data
  • Monitor and perform routing of  SWIFT messages incorrectly received in GMO Swift queues but belonging to other departments within NBAD
  • Support and authorize RMA requests with appropriate approval
  • Complete checklists / tasks set by the Section Head on a daily basis
  • Maintenance and creation of country and currency static in Murex
  • Maintenance of the holiday calendar within Murex
  • Rate fixing for  all products including, but not limited, to securities, derivatives, NDF’s
  • Provide training and guidance to other staff within the team
  • Participate in shift duties to cover international regions as well as Head Office and holiday and weekend coverage
  • Any other tasks requested by the RDG Section Head and/or Line Manager
  • Act as a deputy for the RDG Section Head as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma
  • Basic knowledge of full trade life cycle
  • 2 - 3  years banking experience in various departments
  • Reference data experience (desirable/advantageous)
  • Computer Literacy
  • Team player
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Ability to work in a pressurized area and within tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
