Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective liabilities sales progress by developing and maintaining reporting/tracking of systems, anti-attrition processes and techniques, etc.
  • To manage the team assigned to him where in the monthly budgeted sales are met or exceeded.
  • Managing a team including addressing their training needs to the appropriate resource, along with ensuring a smooth process for all.
  • To build and maintain effective business relationship with all internal departments and branches.
  • To assist in conducting Promotional Activities, meetings and Road Shows in the assigned corporates to Achieve or Exceed Budgeted Sales Volumes.
  • To source quality business by ensuring Fraud and compliance guidelines are met
  • To ensure that the documentation provided by the team is complete and error-free for all approved applications sourced from such assigned team.
  • To ensure that team is doing regular follow up for document discrepancies, which have been approved as Deferrals.
  • To capitalize on-cross selling opportunities.
  • To perform functions of Line Manager (Head of Liabilities) in his absence, including presentations to prospective clients for special packages, etc.
  • To build and maintain effective business relationship with all internal departments and branches.
  • Manage Business Complexity in view of competition.
  • Identify any cross-selling opportunity for Other Business Divisions of the Bank.
  • Motivate the Team Assigned by awarding the High Performers and guiding the others as to improve their performance.
  • To provide Monthly MIS on performance of the assigned Area.
  • To provide Weekly MIS on all related Sales/Services Updates and ensure regular tracking of Errors/Deferrals/etc.
  • Provide regular customer and market feedback to improve Product Offering and Business Acquisition.
  • Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, Code of Conduct and Service Standards of the bank, ensure that team members do the same and initiate appropriate disciplinary action for any violations noted.

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

  • Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks.

  • Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with Masters in Business Administration preferably in Sales & Marketing.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in selling banking products or in a financial industry. Experience in similar job area is an added advantage.
