Job Description

Engage the institutional clients by keeping them aware of market updates; Sales meetings with the clients; Execution of orders (equity, fixed income or otherwise mandated) on behalf of the Institutional clients (domestic and foreign) based on their instructions (when needed), while adhering to the policies and procedures in place by FABS, the exchanges and the regulators.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for:

A.     Financial & Share Holders

-          Operate within the target departmental Budgets as per set by the Head of Institutions & Strategic Trading (25-30% of department target).

-          Achieve targets through service excellence in trading and articulate information dissemination.

-          Work closely with related teams in order to scout and acquire new clients, locally, regionally and globally.

B.     Customer (Internal & External):

-          Execute orders from the Institutional clients classified via any form of authorized communication channel.

-          Document orders and transactions regarding trading activities of Institutional clients.

-          Maintain solid client relationship by providing factual market intelligence in all the markets where FABS is active without providing investment advice.

-          Provide pre and post market updates to clients.

-          Maintain a high standard of professional service to all clients creating a differentiating factor between FABS and competitors.

-          Call assigned and perspective clients daily and weekly bases to discuss markets and ideas.

-          Meet with existing and perspective clients on a regular basis.

C.     Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

-          Ensure adherence to legal, compliance and risk management policies, procedures and regulations.

-          Ensuring efficient and professional management of orders, execution of transactions and reporting of trades

-          Assist in the development of the trading desk.

-          Prepare Call Reports for all client meetings and send it to head of department not later than 3 days after the meeting.

-          Prepare daily and weekly reports for all calls made with the outcome and send it to Head of Department.

-          Update regularly the assigned client profile sheets.

D.     Learning & Knowledge:

-          Constantly enhance brokerage capabilities to cover regional and international markets.

-          Keeping abreast with the product knowledge and assist in developing market intelligence.  

-          Undertaking programs and courses as per the regulatory requirements.

-          Undergo online training programs as provided by the organization.

E.     Other:

-            Ensure high standards of confidentiality and ethical trading to safeguard the client and the organization’s best interest.

Other duties as assigned for special projects.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting / Business Management.

Relevant certification for performing trades in UAE Exchange and meeting relevant requirements as published from time to time by local and regional markets / ESCA.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well with people and under pressure.

Excellent communication and listening skills.

Excellent knowledge of Equity and other instruments (when introduced) traded on Regional Markets.

Knowledge of various investment opportunities and trade alternatives within the Regional Markets allowed regulations.

Relevant regulatory pronouncements of the applicable local and international regulators and related best practices.

Budgetary target.

Knowledge of FABS’s Operations Manual.

Minimum Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in trading in capital market with at least 2 years in the same position.
