Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

  • CAD-International Governance and Control department is responsible for providing specialized support and advisory services to all the International regions on Credit Administration related matters

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Periodic review of standard & non-standard documentation (bilateral and syndication), security related documents, internal & external legal opinions and other condition precedent documents, etc. in compliance with sanctioned credit approvals
  • Liaising with Group Legal on standardizing the templates of Credit Facility Documentation suite across various geographies and providing feedback on commercial terms

  • Reviewing documents for the large exposures to ensure that documentation is executed in line with approval terms
  • Assisting Head of CAD International in setting up CAD function in existing and new geographies
  • Coordinating on behalf of Country CAD teams with Product Specialists, Group Legal, Coverage and Credit Teams as required in order to the complete the documentation process prior to release of facility limits in the System
  • Verifying and confirming periodically at the time of renewal/review of credit limits that all required security/support documents are physically held in safe custody and periodic clean-up of old and obsolete facility/security documents upon settlement
  • Periodic review of inventory of original facility documentation held under the custody of County CAD teams in International locations
  • Periodic review of executed documents lodged in GLCMS and providing feedback to the Country CAD teams on the discrepancies
  • Ensuring standardization of credit documentation process i.e. preparation and review of executed documents and lodgement in GLCMS by Country CAD teams
  • Providing training, technical support and interpretation of credit policy and work procedures to Country CAD teams across all the geographies of the Bank
  • Monitoring activities of Country CAD teams through assessment of volumes, process efficiencies and operational controls
  • Reviewing and circulating documentation deficiency report (expired / deferred documents, pending documents) and following up for their timely submission / renewal
  • Consolidating and reviewing the monthly Collateral Reports for IFRS9 submissions
  • Periodic visits to the International branches and publishing reports on overall health of Credit Documentation processes
  • Conducting semi-annual CAD Academy training sessions and conducting periodic system and functional training related to documentation function for the International branches
  • Arranging periodic communication forums with all stakeholders in Head Office and the International branches
  • Participating in System enhancements related to Documentation Modules as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Holding monthly communication forums with Country CAD teams
  • Assisting Country CAD teams in preparation of documentation related Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assisting Head of CAD International and Cluster Heads as and when requested.

Qualifications

  • Diploma Equivalent or Degree (preferred) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or any relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years with at least 5years of experience in Credit Admin function and legal documentation within a Financial Institution, preferably with International experience across multinational banks, extensive experience and involvement in credit approval process
