Firefly specializes in the design, planning, build, supply, management and maintenance of Global telecommunications networks. We offer a comprehensive range of installation, professional and technical support services to assist telecommunications operators, carriers, network equipment manufacturers, utilities, and private enterprises in deploying, managing, and maintaining their multi-vendor telecommunications infrastructure.

We are seeking entry level Network Engineers to join our team to support CPE router (Cisco/Juniper), Voice/Video Equipment (Cisco/Polycom) in San Jose CA and Atlanta GA. These roles will be situated at the customers’ premises.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate product knowledge and either possess industry-relevant certifications and/or proven experience supporting deployments such as (but not limited to) IP telephony, Wi-Fi networks, video conferencing, Telepresence rooms, managed LAN, rack and stack, or a willingness to be trained in these areas.

• Network and application performance (Blue Coat, Cisco, Citrix, Compuware, Ipanema, Riverbed, OPNET)
• IT services and governance (CMMI, ITIL, Six Sigma)
• Cloud (Citrix, NetApp, VMware)
• Security (CheckPoint, Information Security, ISACA CISA and CISM, (ISC)2 CISSP, Juniper, Symantec
• CRM (Avaya, Cisco, Genesys)
• Collaborative Enterprise (Avaya, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft)

Required Qualifications

• Customer-oriented field professional, with good interpersonal skills
• Capable of taking and following written instructions/remote instructions
• Basic knowledge of route/switch (Cisco) commands
• Works with minimal support
• Experience with connecting equipment via console port, loop back connections
• Required to be prepared with the necessary tools and pre-work required for the service request
• One (1) year minimum of field services in customer environments, or related experience
• Experience providing first level network support
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds unless otherwise limited
