Job Description

The Director of Talent is an exciting opportunity for those who want to champion operational excellence through developing and training top-level talent. The ultimate goal for this role is to drive the restaurant’s recruitment and training efforts through new hire on-boarding, continual recertification, and remedial training of existing team members. After spending an initial 30-45 days learning the basics of the business, this individual will be promoted into the Training Director role. In gaining additional knowledge and mastering the ins and outs of the Chick-fil-A operation and training procedures, this individual should be fully prepared to take ownership over all processes related to people recruitment and development within the first 3 months! After 2-4 years of learning and adding value to the business, this leader would be prepared to pursue owning their own Chick-fil-A franchise.


  • Lead teams of up to 35 team members on a shift 
  • Recruit and hire new team members and leaders
  • Schedule and conduct interviews and coordinate new hire training schedule
  • Identify gaps in training and implement training plans to improve operational success
  • Train, coach, and supervise a team of 6-8 certified trainers and hold them accountable
  • Conduct team member evaluations with direct supervisor
  • Create a system to track state-required courses and re-certification training for team members 
  • Retention initiatives; focus on positive employee experience
  • Ensure a top-tiered training and development program
  • Maintain vision alignment with the Operator and leadership team


  • Bachelors Degree Highly Preferred 
  • 1-3+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Passion for training, coaching and development 
  • Humble; willing to do tasks that others might consider beneath them
